Three killed when military helicopter crashes in Ukraine
KIEV (AFP) Dec 17, 2003 A Ukrainian military Mi-8 helicopter crashed Wednesday in the southern Sumy region of the country, killing all three crew members on board, the defense ministry said.
The reason for the accident had not yet been determined, the Interfax news agency quoted the ministry as saying.
Much of the military equipment of this former Soviet republic is in a sorry state because of lack of financing.
