VIENNA (AFP) Nov 22, 2004 The International Atomic Energy Agency should be able to verify Iran's announced suspension of uranium enrichment activity by Thursday, when the agency meets at its headquarters in Vienna to decide on Iran's nuclear program, its chief Mohamed ElBaradei told journalists Monday. Iran has promised to suspend all uranium enrichment activities by Thursday and ElBaradei said: "I think pretty much everything has come to a halt right now so we are just trying to make sure that everything has been stopped." "Hopefully by Thursday I should be able to report that we've verified the suspension," ElBaradei told reporters. All rights reserved. © 2005 Agence France-Presse.
