An MC-130 aircraft that crashed in Albania with nine US military personnel aboard was from a US special operations unit based in Britain, the US military said Friday.
All nine were killed when their plane crashed Thursday night in an isolated snow covered area of Albania, an Albanian defense ministry spokesman in Tirana said.
The US European Command said the MC-130H was assigned to the 352nd Special Operations Group, RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom.
The nine were engaged in a night training mission as part of a joint training with the Albanian military, it said. All rights reserved. © 2005 Agence France-Presse.
