PARIS, July 7 (AFP) Jul 07, 2008 French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said Monday that Iran's response to an EU incentive package to halt uranium enrichment "did not provide great hope." "I don't think that it provides great hope. But it gives a little bit of hope," Kouchner told reporters on the sidelines of an EU-NATO meeting. Iran on Friday delivered its response to a package drawn up by six world powers offering Iran technology and negotiations if it suspends uranium enrichment, which the West fears could be used to make atomic weapons. Kouchner said he had yet to read the full Iranian response. "I have just read the outline. I will receive it this afternoon," he said. All rights reserved. © 2005 Agence France-Presse.
