Iran Nuclear Ambitions Can Be Stopped Without Violence Says Israel![]() Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said on Tuesday he believed Iranian nuclear ambitions could be halted without violence and praised international efforts in dealing with arch enemy Tehran. "I think there's a way to stop the Iranians from moving forward on their nuclear programme without violent actions," he said in a speech to Jewish American leaders in Jerusalem. No Plans For Military Action On Iran Says Blair ![]() British Prime Minister Tony Blair said Tuesday there were no plans for military action against Iran, but there is growing alarm at Tehran's defiance of the international community. Blair reiterated that, if the Islamic republic were to cooperate with the West in terms of curbing its nuclear plans and other actions, "a whole series of doors would open up to them. Nobody is talking or planning military intervention," Blair told a parliamentary committee. Experts Warn West Against Attacking Iran ![]() Military action against Iran to shut down its nuclear programme would be "highly dangerous" and "counter-productive", a group of leading think-tanks and other experts warned Monday. In particular they call for British Prime Minister Tony Blair to use his influence to urge the United States to talk to Tehran. USAF Sponsors Fully Automatic Take-Off And Landing Demonstrations Of Proxy Aviation's SkyWatcher UAV![]() Proxy Aviation Systems announced that it has successfully completed testing of its automatic take-off and landing (ATOL) capabilities of SkyWatcher, an optionally piloted, unmanned air vehicle (UAV) designed for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. The United States Air Force (USAF) sponsored and cooperated in the demonstration, which took place at Yuma Proving Ground, Yuma, Arizona on December 13, 2006. US Navy Buys Two Northrop Grumman Fire Scouts To Refine Concept Of Operations ![]() The U.S. Navy has awarded Northrop Grumman $16 million for two more MQ-8B Fire Scout Vertical takeoff and landing Tactical Unmanned Air Vehicles (VTUAV) and to assist the Navy in refining the Fire Scout concept of operations.
