The purpose of the first program is to satisfy all commercial satellite communications terminal requirements for the Department of Defense and other Governmental Agencies. This program qualifies companies in seven categories of commercial SATCOM terminals.
By virtue of being selected after a formal bidding process, Globecomm is authorized to participate in four categories; fixed satellite earth terminals, deployable shelter mounted satellite earth terminals, prime mover and trailer mounted mobile terminals and satellite-based Internet access systems.
This program has a five-year term with a maximum value on any individual order of $5 million.
The purpose of the second program is to provide equipment and devices for wireless communications within a campus or installation-wide environment, including video teleconference equipment, services and maintenance.
Globecomm is authorized to participate for commercial satellite terminals and systems, networks and services, militarized commercial off the shelf equipment, custom wireless communication solutions and end-to-end satellite services.
This program has a three-year term and the U.S. Government has the right to extend for additional periods. The maximum value of any individual order is $5.0 million.
As requirements for a category develop, a post award competition for the delivery order will occur. These BPA's do not obligate any funds. The Government is obligated only to the extent of authorized purchases actually made under the BPA's by delivery order.
