FATS To Upgrade Australian Defence Forces' Simulated Training Systems
Atlanta GA (SPX) Sep 28, 2004
FATS announces a $2 million contract with Australian Defence Forces (ADF) to upgrade Small Arms Trainers (SAT) known locally as Weapons Training Simulation Systems (WTSS). The award upgrades approximately 36 systems in 12 different locations to current software and hardware configurations.

The SAT supports individual marksmanship skills training as well as team and squad level tactical training. Squad level training on the SAT provides an advanced tool for team training and evaluation.

FATS offers generic or customized marksmanship courses with five lane configurations per system as well as judgmental training with interactive scenarios.

"FATS first delivered small arms trainers to Australian Defence Forces in 1997. Since that time we have been proud to provide them with high-quality weapon simulators," said Ron Mohling, FATS President and CEO.

"We strive to design and produce the best in virtual training solutions for domestic and international clients around the world."
