Multi Service Awarded AIR And SEA Card Program Contract
Overland Park KS (SPX) Sep 28, 2004
The US Defense Energy Support Center (DESC) awarded Multi Service the Aviation Into-Plane Reimbursement (AIR) and Ships' bunkers' Easy Acquisition (SEA) Card Programs Contract on September 23.

The mission-critical AIR and SEA Card Programs provide Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies with a means to procure fuel and related services at commercial airports and seaports throughout the world.

With a proven ability to deliver fuel to the most remote aviation locations, a strong marine program and its history of government service, Multi Service Corporation selected the BP Group as the secondary offeror for its proposals.

While Multi Service will partner with the BP Group to fulfill its contract, Multi Service will not be restricted from sourcing fuel from other suppliers in order to obtain the best value and service for program customers.

DESC's selection recognizes Multi Service Corporation for its commitment to technological advancements and willingness to customize its services to meet individual client needs.

As the single credit card facilitator for both programs, Multi Service will be responsible for developing customized point-of-sale software, implementing an Internet-based transaction authorization and settlement system, and capturing and reporting specialized Level III data. The program contract is renewable for up to eight consecutive years.
