SAFLINK Offers Identity Management Infrastructure For DoD Message System
Bellevue WA (SPX) Oct 20, 2004
SAFLINK Corporation reports that its subsidiary, Litronic, has received in excess of $700,000 in hardware, software, and support orders for the Defense Message System (DMS), the designated military messaging system for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and its supporting agencies.

The deployments call for Litronic's Argus 2500 Series PC Card reader/writers, which are designed to provide secure user authentication and data integrity for FORTEZZA applications, as well as software and support services for the DMS.

Deployed at more than 270 military installations around the globe, DMS supports the secure communication of information at multiple classification levels. The Company's involvement with DMS started at the initiation of the program as a developer of the underlying FORTEZZA cryptographic libraries and drivers. The Company is now the primary provider of FORTEZZA-compliant card readers and related cryptographic support for the DMS contract.

"We continue to be pleased by the long-standing and consistent nature of our business from DMS customers," said Jim Prohaska, Litronic's Senior Vice President of Business Development, Public Sector. "We believe our cryptographic products, based on more than three decades of research and engineering, play a pivotal role in enabling the DMS program to achieve its goal of providing secure messaging capabilities to all DoD users, including deployed tactical users, U.S. government agencies, allied forces, and defense contractors."
