Tetra Tech announced Thursday that the U.S. Air Force awarded a multiple award contract called Network Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) to a consortium team that is led by NCI Information Systems (NCI) and includes Tetra Tech.

The five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract is to be shared by four large businesses and four small business teams. The scope consists of a wide spectrum of information technology applications necessary to further the Air Force's transformation toward a networked fighting force.

Work will be issued under cost plus, time and material, or fixed price delivery orders that can be subject to competition or directly awarded to the team.

The objective of the contract is to provide technical integrated solutions that support the migration of network centric systems and common standard data into an integrated and interoperable global information grid that supports the Air Force's Joint Vision 2020 concept.

The contract scope covers a wide range of security; networking; voice, video and data communications; and data management to support the Air Force. Work can be conducted worldwide.
