US Navy Awards FATS $1.7M Contract For Virtual Training System

FATS Monday announced a $1.7 million contract with the U.S. Navy to deliver high quality, customized virtual training systems. The training solution incorporates a multiple screen system with dual eye points and special, sea-based simulated courseware designed exclusively for the advanced needs of the U.S. Navy.

FATS provides customized systems with advanced capabilities to improve training for military units around the world.

Delivery of the systems will begin in December 2004. By March 31, 2005, the U.S. Navy will receive FATS crew served weapons simulators, which allow individual, team and unit training.

FATS will install the training systems at the Special Missions Training Center at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Chesapeake Learning Center in Chesapeake, Virginia and U.S. Naval Forces Marianas in Guam.
