CACI Awarded Subcontract To Support Network Services For US Air Force
Arlington VA (SPX) Nov 12, 2004
CACI International announced Wednesday that it has been awarded a subcontract by General Dynamics Network Systems (a business unit of General Dynamics), headquartered in Needham, Massachusetts, to provide network services to the U.S. Air Force under the Network-Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract.

General Dynamics is one of eight prime contractors chosen for NETCENTS, an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a three-year base period and two one-year options; the program has a maximum potential value of $9 billion. This new subcontract provides opportunities for CACI to expand its core network services line of business.

NETCENTS is a wide-ranging program that all Air Force agencies can use to order networking equipment and services, and voice, video, and data communications hardware and software. Tasks may range from simple computer maintenance to high-end support for combat communications systems.

CACI is expected to play a key role in the functional areas of telecommunications, networks, and information assurance, as well as life-cycle support for major operational networks.

The company offers proven technical solutions and demonstrated expertise in these areas, as well as an in-depth understanding of Department of Defense communications requirements gained from years of support for DoD networks. CACI also has been a teammate with General Dynamics on several legacy Air Force contracts that are now part of the NETCENTS program.

This combination of technical ability and client familiarity assures the Air Force of the timely and successful completion of projects.

Dr. J.P. (Jack) London, CACI Chairman, President, and CEO said, "The Network-Centric Solutions contract gives CACI a continuing role in helping to design, install, modernize, and sustain U.S. Air Force telecommunications and networking systems and equipment."

"We provide high-quality engineering services and personnel, as well as a proven track record of supporting the Air Force on a worldwide basis. Good communications are fundamental to the ability of Air Force to meet today's high-priority needs, and we are pleased to join the General Dynamics team to achieve this goal."
