FATS Announces $7.4M Contract To Provide Weapon Simulators To US Army
Atlanta GA (SPX) Nov 23, 2004
FATS announces last Thursday a subcontract of $7.4 million for weapon simulators to the U.S. Army.

The order includes FATS engineered weapon simulators in support of an ongoing training program. FATS will also develop a new simulated weapon that combines the configuration of an M4 and M203.

FATS simulated weapons replicate form, fit and function of live weapons, including recoil. The weapons simulators allow accurate, real-time diagnostics including point-of-aim, weapon status, trigger pressure and cant.

FATS CEO Ron Mohling said, "We are proud of our ability to meet the training needs of soldiers, especially at a time when readiness is paramount."
