Atlanta GA (SPX) Nov 23, 2004
FATS announced it has been awarded a contract in excess of $1.2 million to upgrade existing systems and deliver new training and simulation solutions to multiple locations for the Belgian Defence Forces (BDF).

The FATS virtual training solution for the BDF provides infantry training including basic to advanced marksmanship. FATS offers customized marksmanship courses in multiple lane configurations on each system. To provide training feedback, diagnostic information such as trigger pressure, cant and weapon handling procedures are measured.

"FATS has worked with Belgian Defence Forces for more than seven years," said Ron Mohling, FATS chairman and chief executive officer. "We are proud of our commitment to military forces around the world. International customers account for approximately 40 percent of our clients."

FATS delivered its first training system to Belgian Defence Forces in 1996 and over the past 20 years has deployed more than 5,200 training systems in more than 50 countries.
