The first of three international awards is from the ECOLIFT Corporation in Puerto Rico for delivery of an APS-143 surveillance radar to be installed on a Reims F406 aircraft for the Police Department of Puerto Rico.
This technologically advanced system will be integrated on the aircraft for the department's maritime surveillance missions. The Puerto Rico Police Department currently operates similar Telephonics APS-143 radar on their Beech 200 maritime patrol aircraft.
Stork Aerospace has also selected Telephonics APS-143 radar for integration on the Stork Fokker 60 aircraft for the Royal Netherlands Air Force.
The APS-143 radar for Puerto Rico and the Netherlands Antilles, is capable of interfacing with a forward looking infra-red (FLIR) system, providing steering and pointing commands for the high accuracy FLIR gimbal and sensor head.
Engineered for optimum target detection, tracking, classification and identification, the APS-143 radar is in service worldwide for maritime patrol.
In France, Reims has selected the RDR 1500 radar for integration on the F406 for the Namibia Fishery Department. An African nation of 1.7 million people, Namibia is known as one of the world's richest fishing grounds.
Telephonics' radar which will be used in fisheries patrol, provides weather avoidance, beacon transponder location and waypoint navigation display.

Work on these programs will be performed at the Telephonics facilities in Farmingdale and Huntington, New York.
