US Navy Awards Titan $85M Special Communications Requirements Contract

Titan announced Monday that the U.S. Navy has awarded the company a competitive contract having a potential value of $85 million with options, if exercised, to provide a full range of engineering, technical, and information technology services for telecommunication and related communication-electronic (C-E) systems for the Navy's Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, Special Communication Requirements (SCR) Division, St. Inigoes, Maryland.

The five-year contract (one base year and four option years) calls for Titan to research, design, develop, analyze, procure, prototype, fabricate, integrate, install, test and evaluate, train, and provide logistics support of telecommunication and related C-E systems.

"This latest award solidifies Titan as a principal provider of support services to the Navy's NAWCAD SCR Division," said Gene Ray, Titan's chairman, president, and CEO.

"We are proud to expand upon our partnerships with the U.S. Navy, NAWCAD, and SCR Division in providing end-to-end engineering and integration solutions for specialized Naval telecommunication and related C-E systems."

The Navy's SCR Division is responsible for the total implementation--from concept through deployment - of telecommunication and related C-E systems, enabling efficient information exchange of voice/video/data for desired users within the Navy, Army, Air Force, Joint Special Operations Forces, and other DoD and government agencies in order to fulfill urgent or emerging mission requirements.
