Engineered Support Awarded $3.5 Million C-17 Support Contract
St Louis MO (SPX) Dec 13, 2004
Engineered Support System's Technical and Management Services Corporation (TAMSCO) subsidiary has been awarded a new $3.5 million, five-year contract by the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center C-17 directorate under TAMSCO's Rapid Response (R2) contract with the U. S. Army.

The task order calls for TAMSCO to provide management assistance and sustainment support for C-17 Technical Orders, the C-17 Reproduction Library, the C-17 Digital Technical Order System (DTOS), and C-17 Technical Order (TO) Library Support.

The period of performance for this effort commences immediately and runs through November 2009, according to Gerald A. Potthoff, Vice Chairman, CEO and President of Engineered Support.

The C-17 Globemaster III is the newest, most flexible cargo aircraft to enter the airlift force. The C-17 is capable of rapid strategic delivery of troops and all types of cargo to main operating bases or directly to forward bases in the deployment area.

The aircraft is also capable of performing tactical airlift and airdrop missions when required. The inherent flexibility and performance of the C-17 force improve the ability of the total airlift system to fulfill the worldwide air mobility requirements of the United States military.
