Vizada has announced the commercial service launch of the widely anticipated IsatPhone Pro from Inmarsat. Vizada has optimized the IsatPhone Pro package with the availability of the Vizada Solutions portfolio. Prior to the launch, Vizada participated with Inmarsat in a rigorous beta test program, using its testing facilities and global distribution network to ensure that the IsatPhone Pro is ready for market.

Concurrently, Vizada focused on readying its service providers for the launch with a seven-step preparedness program that focused on the operational needs, including the order process activations for IsatPhone Pro via The Source, Vizada's online account management and provisioning portal.

IsatPhone Pro is the first global handheld solution offered by Inmarsat. The low Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the complete handset and accessory kit makes satellite handheld service significantly more affordable for users. The product offers global connectivity, Bluetooth-compatibility and the longest battery life on the market.

It is ideal for government, media, aid, oil and gas, mining and construction professionals working in challenging conditions and/or remote regions because of its ability to operate at extreme temperatures, ranging from -20 degrees C to 55 degrees C, and its inclusion of a keyboard-sized buttons to accommodate gloved fingers. Inmarsat has confirmed that full terminal availability will occur a few weeks following commercial launch.

With the launch of the IsatPhone Pro, Vizada is promoting a choice of Vizada Solutions: Satellite Direct and Satellite Direct Plus are fixed-to-mobile solutions that provide easy and affordable calling to a satellite handheld.

The Universal Card prepaid solution is the first card in the market to enable customers to make private calls, use the Internet and send SMS or emails from a single card. Full functionality of the card will occur later this year when Inmarsat launches data service over the IsatPhone Pro. Vizada will launch additional Vizada Solutions for IsatPhone Pro throughout the coming months.
