Under the terms of the agreement, L-3 SPAR will be the prime contractor, with ITT Electronic Systems acting as the system provider and integrator for EW solutions. EW is a suite of electronic warfare technologies, systems and services that enable mission success and survivability for aircraft, and include advanced threat warning, situational awareness and electronic and electro-optic countermeasures equipment and suites.

The L-3 SPAR/ITT Electronic Systems EW solutions will be offered as part of L-3 SPAR's Herc2020(TM), a total life extension solution for E and H model C-130 Hercules transport aircraft, as well as a stand-alone special mission solution for other platforms.
