Kibbutz Merom Golan, Israel (SPX) Apr 04, 2006 Bental Industries has introduced a range of new products especially developed for current mini and future micro UAVs. This new line addresses the challenges of control, motion and observation in a remotely controlled highly compact airborne platform. It is designed for such mini-UAV models as the Mosquito, Searcher and others, as well as for larger HALE and MALE UAVs, such as the Hermes 450, Heron and Eitan. The showcase of the new line is a uniquely innovative unified Starter Generator, which ignites the UAV's main motor and other systems. It unifies two functionalities into one unit to substantially reduce weight and volume - critical factors in a mini UAV. At the same time, the new Starter Generator increases the platform's endurance and safety. Ease of operation by ground operators is another important key feature. Additional Bental motion control products for the mini UAV environment include: - High reliability and performance actuator for throttle control, flap control, steering of front wheel, and more, featuring a closed loop servo actuator for enhanced reliability and performance - Communications from ground control to the platform employing PWM protocols - High efficiency Miniaturized Propeller Motors that are small enough even for future micro-UAVs These innovative new products are complemented by Bental's proven Drivers, Generator Control Units and a host of other motion-related products. As a sub-contractor to some of the world's largest and most respected defense manufacturers in Europe and Israel, Bental tailors its systems to its customers' platform, operating environment and budget. Michael Armon, Bental's VP Marketing & Sales, notes that "Bental may be one of Israel's best kept secrets. At the same time, our customer list indicates that we meet the standards of the most discriminating international corporations. I believe this is due to the quality of our engineering and innovation, enabling us to deliver high performance solutions for the most complex projects. I therefore also believe that there is a significant market opportunity for a company such as ours, which can offer the leading edge in design and production, while tailored each solution to the customer's specific technical, financial and environmental requirements."
