Embraer Defense & Security has chosen Rheinmetall Defense Electronics Simulation and Training for a KC-390 training media suite.

The KC-390 is a tactical transport for cargo and troop transport, aerial refueling, and search-and-rescue. It is being built by Embraer for the Brazilian Air Force and Embraer expects to receive certification of the aircraft by the end of next year.

"We are looking forward to build further on our recent fruitful cooperation and are confident that our partnership with Rheinmetall will result in a first class KC-390 training media suite that will indefinitely contribute to the overall success of the KC-390 Program", said Jackson Schneider, president and chief exeutive officer of Embraer Defense & Security.

"Rheinmetall is honored for being selected as the training devices partner in the KC-390 program" said Ulrich Sasse, President Rheinmetall Simulation and Training. "We are very excited to demonstrate our commitment for Embraer and the entire KC-390 program by providing our latest and proven simulation technology out of Germany."

Additional details of the contract were not disclosed.
