Madrid, Spain (SPX) Oct 25, 2024
SCALE Nanotech, a leader in photonic nano-membrane solutions, has announced the successful demonstration of its proprietary GMOD technology (Graphene MODulator), poised to transform telecommunications in critical industries such as drones, avionics, and space exploration.

GMOD is a graphene-based modulator designed for high-speed data transmission, ultra-low power consumption, and enhanced signal processing. Its lightweight and compact design is tailored for environments like high altitudes and outer space, making it ideal for advanced telecommunication systems. The technology's standout features include:

- High-speed data transmission: GMOD facilitates ultra-fast optical modulation, critical for real-time communication in autonomous drones and UAVs, benefiting commercial and civil aviation sectors.

- Lightweight and compact: The graphene integration keeps the devices light and small, essential for aeronautics applications where reducing payload is a priority.

- Reliability in extreme conditions: GMOD operates efficiently in harsh environments such as low-pressure, high-radiation outer space, enabling reliable satellite communication and space missions.

- Power efficiency: GMOD modulates light with minimal heat generation, cutting energy use compared to traditional telecom systems - key for long-duration operations in remote or power-limited settings like spacecraft or drones.

SCALE Nanotech presented GMOD prototypes during private demonstrations at the Valencia Digital Summit, generating interest from various sectors.

"We are excited to bring GMOD to market, addressing growing demand for efficient, lightweight, and high-speed telecommunication systems in cutting-edge sectors like aeronautics and space," said Santiago Cartamil, CEO of SCALE Nanotech. "Our technology is ready to meet today's challenges in advanced telecom systems, providing unmatched performance and adaptability across multiple industries."

SCALE Nanotech encourages industry partners to explore GMOD's commercial applications in aerospace and telecommunications. GMOD holds vast potential for advancing communications in autonomous systems, satellite networks, and aerial platforms.
