Boeing has received three U.S. Navy contracts totaling at least $43.3 million for repair coverage on various components of P-8A Poseidon aircraft.

A $9.2 million firm-fixed ceiling-priced, letter requirements contract announced Monday will cover repair of 24 various mission system components used on the aircraft.

The contract includes a one-year base period and two 12-month options which if exercised would bring the contract total to $31.2 million. Work will be performed in Seattle and is expected to be completed by March 2017.

Boeing also received a $14.5 million firm-fixed ceiling-priced, letter requirements contract for the repair coverage of 204 commercial components used on the P-8A.

It includes a one-year base period and two 12-month options which will raise the contract value to $59.2 million if exercised. Work will also be performed in Seattle with a completion date of March 2017.

Finally, Boeing received a $19.6 million cost-plus-fixed-fee, ceiling-priced letter requirements contract for repair coverage of 193 various mission system components.

The contract includes a one-year base period and two 12-month optional periods that if exercised will raise the contract's value to $72.5 million. Work will be performed in Seattle and has a completion date of March 2017. If the optional periods are exercised the completion date will be March 2020.

The P-8A is slated to replaced the P-3C Orion as a long-range anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft that can undertake broad-area, maritime and littoral missions.
