US Air Force awards two billion dollar contract to US, British companies WASHINGTON (AFP) Nov 05, 2004 The US Air Force has awarded a multi-year contract worth up to two billion dollars to five companies, including US defense giants Boeing and Lockheed Martin and Britain's BAE systems.
The contractors, which include US companies Northrop Grumman and Tybrin, will develop mission planning systems for US war planes, the Air Force said Thursday in a statement.
The work will be completed by November 2009, the statement said.
