WASHINGTON (AFP) Jan 14, 2005
Lockheed Martin landed a 676.3 million dollar navy contract, the US Defense Department announced Thursday.

The supplementary contract covers systems of Trident II strategic nuclear missiles, which sail around the world on navy submarines.

Work is due for completion by September 2008, the Pentagon said. Forty percent of the work will be done at the Lockheed Martin Space Systems Sunnyvale, California, and several other US sites will participate.
