. Kuwaiti state company gets 3.2 billion dollar US military supply contract
WASHINGTON (AFP) Feb 18, 2005
The US Defense Department awarded a Kuwaiti state company a 3.2 billion dollar contract Friday to supply US military forces in Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq and Afghanistan.

"Public Warehousing Co., state of Kuwait, is being awarded a maximum amount of USD3,271,308,474 firm fixed price indefinite quantity contract for subsistence items for the US Army, US Navy, US Air Force and US Marine Corps located in Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, and Afghanistan," the Pentagon said in a statement.

The contract was not competitively bid, according to a Pentagon announcement.

It said the contract would be completed around December 15, 2005.
