. Iraq coalition army chiefs confer in Bucharest
BUCHAREST (AFP) Feb 21, 2005
Chiefs of staff of coalition ground forces in Iraq were set to convene in Bucharest Tuesday to "analyse military developments following the (Iraqi) elections on January 30," the Romanian defence minstry announced Monday.

The two-day session had been organised by US army central command (Centcom), it said.

An Iraqi government delegation was also scheduled to attend the meetings, a spokesman said.

For security reasons, the official declined details of who was attending or the venue was.

Some 800 Romanian military personnel are serving in Iraq as part of the 30-nation, US-led coalition forces.
