The incident occurred Thurday as Mofaz was addressing a crowd of politicians and top brass gathered by the new state-of-art defense ministry building in Tel Aviv.

The pair were quickly spotted and suspended.

They are due to appear before a military jugde soon for their "shameful behavior, that is incompatible with the army code of conduct," an army spokesman told AFP.
