Ukraine says Russian strikes kill 4 in Kyiv region
Kyiv, Ukraine, March 14 (AFP) Mar 14, 2026
Russian drone and missile strikes near Ukraine's capital killed four people and wounded 10, police said on Saturday.

"Russian forces continue to launch strikes on the Kyiv region," Ukraine's police posted on Telegram.

"So far, four people are known to have been killed and 10 wounded," the post added.

In an earlier post, Mykola Kalashnyk, the head of Kyiv region's military administration, said a "massive attack" by drones and missiles caused casualties in areas near the capital overnight.

Peace talks spearheaded by the United States aiming to halt more than four years of fighting have been derailed by the US-Israeli war with Iran.

Russia's invasion sparked the bloodiest war in Europe since World War II, forcing the displacement of millions and killing hundreds of thousands of soldiers and civilians on both sides.
