Moscow, April 8 (AFP) Apr 08, 2026
Debris from a drone shot down in Russia's southern Krasnodar Krai region killed a man, its governor said Thursday.

Kyiv regularly carries out strikes within Russia in response to its attacks - which have targeted Ukrainian territory daily since Moscow's full-scale offensive began in February 2022.

"Another drone attack is being repelled in Krasnodar Krai tonight," regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev posted on Telegram.

"Unfortunately, there was a fatality."

The man was hit by drone debris while he was on the balcony of an apartment building in the village of Sauk-Dere in the Krymsk district, Kondratyev said.

Fragments of destroyed drones also fell on a business premises and "at several addresses" in the region, the governor added, reporting no injuries.
