Raytheon has successfully demonstrated a key sensor netting and integration capability to the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) as part of an effort funded by the Missile Defense Agency.

The demonstration highlighted the benefits of the Raytheon Solipsys Tactical Component Network (TCN) capability as a sensor netting framework for the BMDS.

TCN provides an enhanced capability-based approach to supporting joint interoperability and net-centric operations across mission areas.

"This successful TCN demonstration underscores Raytheon's role as a provider of innovative solutions in missile defense for our customer," said Rick Yuse, vice president of the Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Missile Defense Business Area.

"TCN provides a critical capability with applications across missions, and it's a key step towards achieving Joint Battlespace Integration."

Raytheon IDS is the lead for the TCN demonstration, leveraging its expertise in sensor technology and system engineering and integration combined with the TCN technology developed by Raytheon Solipsys to provide a BMDS sensor netting architecture.
