Kinesix Software has signed an agreement with the U.S. Air Force to upgrade the Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) to the newest version of Kinesix's Sammi graphical-interface software: Sammi 6.5.

SBIRS is a satellite missile warning and tracking system operated by the U.S. Air Force. It provides the nation with critical missile defense and warning capabilities. SBIRS has relied on Sammi as its user interface since it was first deployed in 1996.

Upgrading to the newest version of Sammi will allow SBIRS officials to better manage high volumes of streaming, real-time data, while also allowing them to set up highly-complex displays that meet the program's sophisticated needs.

"SBIRS team members will truly benefit from this upgrade," declares Kinesix CEO Russ Jamerson. "Not only will it allow greater user flexibility, but it will also make it easier to design graphical-user interfaces for the complex data upon which the SBIRS program is built."

Primary updates within the newest Sammi version include streamlined installation procedures, simpler logon, advanced tracking and maintenance of licensing, and added security features
