L-3 Awarded $426.5 Million Army Intelligence Support Services Contract

L-3 Communications announced Friday that its Government Services, Inc. (L-3 GSI) subsidiary has been awarded a four-year contract by the U.S. Army to provide intelligence services to support the work of multi-national forces in Iraq. The contract is for a base period through June, 2007 and two option years, totaling $426.5 million if all options are exercised.

The L-3 GSI team, which includes two other L-3 subsidiaries, SYColeman Corporation (SYColeman) and ILEX Systems, Inc. (ILEX), will provide a broad range of intelligence support services, including local employed persons screening, human intelligence support teams, open source intelligence and intelligence support management. L-3 GSI, SYColeman and ILEX are part of L-3's Government Services Group.

Other team members include Centurum Inc., Gray Hawk Systems Inc., Operational Support and Services, Future Technologies, Inc., All World Language Corporation, Oak Grove Technologies, Espial and JIL Information Systems, Inc.
