Prague considering sending field hospital to Iraq
PRAGUE (AFP) Mar 28, 2003
The Czech government will take a decision Monday on sending a field hospital to Iraq as part of humanitarian operations, Deputy Defence Minister Jaroslav Skopec said Friday.

The hospital could be deployed as soon as April 4, pending approval by the cabinet and parliament, for six months. It would be made up of 147 staff, and protected by around 100 Czech special forces.

The Czech Republic already has 380 personnel trained in nuclear, biological and chemical warfare stationed in Kuwait. They can only operate if Iraq uses weapons of mass destruction or as part of humanitarian operations.
