BAGHDAD (AFP) Mar 28, 2003 A new wave of bombardment by coalition warplanes hit southeast Baghdad around 11:45 pm (2045 GMT) on Friday, an AFP correspondent in the Iraqi capital said.
Iraqi anti-aircraft batteries went into action in response.
The raid was the second to hit the capital Friday evening, following an air strike on a bustling market that Iraqi officials said killed 30 civilians.
