Kuwait explosion caused by apparent missile attack
KUWAIT CITY (AFP) Mar 29, 2003
A massive explosion that rocked a huge shopping mall in Kuwait early Saturday was caused by an apparent missile attack, an AFP correspondent at the scene said.

The missile seemingly impacted the ground in a 100-metre (330-foot) area between the mall and the coastline.

Pieces of what looked like missile debris could be seen everywhere outside Souk Sharq, one of Kuwait City's largest shopping malls.

There appeared to be damage to one of the mall's cinemas.
