One US soldier was killed and five others were injured Saturday in central Iraq when their Bradley fighting vehicle rolled over, central command said.

"The soldier was medically evacuated to the 212th MASH (field hospital) where he was pronounced dead on arrival," central command said on its website.

"The other soldiers were medically evacuated with various head, neck, arm, back and jaw injuries."

The soldiers' names were not being released until their families had been informed.
