Backing for the war has fallen five points to 54 percent -- the lowest figure in support of conflict since the strikes began -- said the poll in The Daily Telegraph.
Meanwhile, 38 percent of Britons now oppose the war, up three points on the last YouGov poll carried out four days ago when 59 percent rallied behind the conflict -- the highest figure since the US-led strikes began.
According to the latest poll, a majority of Britons -- 56 percent -- believe it will take the coalition forces a few months to defeat "the bulk of the Iraqi forces," a rise of 19 points on YouGov's last poll.
Only seven percent think this will be achieved within either a week or fortnight, compared to 20 percent of Britons last Thursday.
The number who believe the war is going "very well" has fallen three points to eight percent, while those who think war is going "very badly" remains at four percent.
The majority of respondents to the latest poll said they thought the war was going "fairly well" -- with 57 percent believing this to be true compared with 62 percent four days ago.
YouGov sought the opinions of 1,004 adults across Britain on Sunday in compiling its latest poll.
