DOHA (AFP) Apr 02, 2003 The emir of Qatar, which hosts the US Central Command directing the war on Iraq, spoke Wednesday by telephone about the conflict with US President George W. Bush, the official Qatar News Agency said.
"Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani received a telephone call from the American president, with whom he discussed the evolution of the situation in the region," the agency said without further details.
