Chirac meets wife of missing cameraman
PARIS (AFP) Apr 04, 2003
French President Jacques Chirac met on Friday with the wife of Fred Nerac, the cameraman for the British television station ITN who went missing in southern Iraq on March 22.

"It was very constructive and positive. We reviewed all the different organisations and authorities that have been contacted and discussed the strategy we must take," said Fabienne Nerac.

Nerac, 43, and his Lebanese translator Hussein Osman went missing after the ITN crew came under fire apparently from British and American forces near Basra. Correspondent Terry Lloyd was killed in the incident.
