Priority must be ending hostilities in Iraq: Russian FM

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said Friday that the priority in Iraq was "ending hostilities."

He was speaking after talks in Paris with his French counterpart Dominique de Villepin and German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer.

De Villepin insisted after the talks that the UN should "from now on" play a key role in Iraq "especially in the humanitarian field."
