Israeli helicopters target Hamas house in new missile attack on Gaza City
GAZA CITY (AFP) Jun 13, 2003
Israeli helicopter gunships fired several missiles at the house of a suspected Hamas member in eastern Gaza City late Friday, in the second air strike the same night, Palestinian witnesses said.

There were no immediate details of injuries but Palestinian security sources said the house was badly damaged, after the seventh Israeli air strike on the Gaza Strip in three days.

Just hours earlier, helicopter gunships fired missiles in the Al-Sabra area of eastern Gaza, killing a member of the Islamic radical movement Hamas and injuring 26 other people, many of them children, Palestinian sources said.

The latest death brought to 3,344 the number of people killed since the September 2000 outbreak of the Palestinian uprising, including 2,518 Palestinians and 766 Israelis, according to an AFP count.
