Iranian air force plane crashes south of capital, seven killed

An Iranian air force C-130 crashed south of the Tehran Wednesday, killing at least seven people, state television reported.

The report said the four-engined transport went down in the area of Robat-Karim, around 30 kilometers (20 miles) south of the capital.

The semi-official ILNA news agency said the crash occurred at 1:10 pm, with the crash site located near Iran's future Imam Khomeini international airport.
