Polish intelligence uncovers major arm, ammunition caches
WARSAW (AFP) Jul 04, 2003
Poland's military intelligence service (WSI) said Friday it had found "outside Poland" two caches of arms and ammunitions which could have been meant to launch terror attacks.

The find "is related to the security of armed forces and to our country's (security)," WSI head General Marek Dukaczewski said, quoted by spokeswoman Grazyna Kluczynska.

Dukaczewski said the find was made "outside the country" and that it was "hot business", but declined to give more details.

Poland has deployed WSI officers in Iraq to protect its armed contingent there.

Poland, which is in charge of one of four administrative zones in Iraq, has already sent about 100 troops there with another 250 on their way, presently in Kuwait.
