Israeli army chief flies to US
JERUSALEM (AFP) Jul 11, 2003
 Israeli Chief of Staff Moshe Yaalon left Israel Friday overnight for a trip to the United States, Israeli military sources said.

General Yaalon was invited by his US counterpart General Richard Myers and the two men are expected to discuss "strategic cooperation" between the two countries, the sources added.

Yaalon had travelled to the United States in November 2002 to prepare for the war in Iraq and its potential fallout.
