Accidental blast kills one, injures 12 in Serbian barracks
BELGRADE (AFP) Jul 18, 2003
A soldier of the Serbia-Montenegro army died and 12 were injured when a rocket launcher which they thought was empty exploded in a barracks in central Serbia, the defence ministry said on Friday.

The blast occurred on Thursday in the central Serbian town of Kraljevo, the statement said.

Four of the injured were seriously hurt. The ministry said an inquiry was being opened into the incident.

Serbia-Montenegro is the new name of Yugoslavia, which was reduced during the wars of the 1990's to the two republics of Serbia and Montenegro.
