THE HAGUE (AFP) Jan 25, 2005
Dutch Defense Minister Henk Kamp was in Kuwait on Tuesday ahead of a visit to his country's troops in Iraq, officials said Tuesday.

Kamp was to meet with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheik Al Hamad al Sabah, the officials said, adding that he would go Wednesday to the southern province of Al Muthanna where some 1,350 Dutch troops are stationed under British command.

The troops are to be withdrawn in mid-March.
