Saudi Arabia says intercepts missile targeting Riyadh region
 Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, March 27 (AFP) Mar 27, 2026
 Saudi Arabia said Saturday it had intercepted a missile targeting the Riyadh region, as Iran hits the kingdom and its Gulf neighbours with strikes.

"A ballistic missile fired in the direction of the Riyadh region was intercepted and destroyed," the defence ministry wrote on X.
