Death toll from Russian strikes on Ukraine rises to 18: officials

 The death toll from Russian strikes on Ukraine overnight rose to 18, officials said Tuesday, hours after Moscow's forces launched hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles across the country.

The mayor of Kyiv announced that six people had been killed and 66 wounded in the capital, while authorities in the industrial city of Dnipro said 12 people were dead in the attack and that rescue operations were ongoing.
