ManTech Awarded Engineering Services Contract From Naval Sea Systems Command ManTech International announced Monday that it has been awarded a contract from the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to provide engineering and technical support services for the Submarine and Surface Ship Signature Silencing Program at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD). The five-year contract has a total potential value of $51.3 million. Under the competitively awarded task order through NAVSEA's streamlined SeaPort Enhanced Multiple Award Contract, ManTech will provide technical and logistic support for submarine and surface ship signature measurement trials. This includes data collection, testing, analysis, operations, maintenance, logistics, and repair services. Work will be performed at NSWCCD Bremerton Detachment and ManTech facilities in Bremerton, Washington. "We have more than 30 years experience supporting and developing superior stealth technologies through signature control and silencing for submarine and surface ships," said Kenneth J. Farquhar, President, ManTech Systems Engineering Corporation. "Our engineers and scientists provide the Naval Surface Warfare Center with critical acoustic support, which greatly reduces the vulnerability of Navy vessels to mines, torpedoes and other dangers."
